1. Competition Period

1.1 The "2025 Mother's Day Escape" promotion at Theatre Royal Sydney will run from 11 April 2025 to 27 April 2025 inclusive, in partnership with Intrepid Travel (Affiliates)

2. The Prize

2.1 One entrant will receive the following prize, including:

• Four tickets to Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None at Theatre Royal Sydney during Mother's Day 2025 weekend (Saturday 10 May or Sunday 11 May 2025), valued at approximately $479.60.
• Four VIP passes to use when attending Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None at Theatre Royal Sydney during Mother's Day 2025 weekend (Saturday 10 May or Sunday 11 May 2025), valued at  approximately $316.
• Two (2) places on the Intrepid Travel Tasmania Adventure trip and two (2) x return economy flights from the Prize winner’s nearest capital city airport to Hobart, valued at approximately AUD $4,700. Further conditions regarding this Prize element can be found under clause 2.6.

2.2 If an event that constitutes or forms part of a Prize (“Event”) is cancelled or if the dates for an Event are changed for any reason beyond the control of Theatre Royal Sydney and/or any sponsor of a competition or prize, Theatre Royal Sydney may substitute another entertainment event or any other reasonably equivalent prize for the Prize, without any penalty or liability whatsoever and as it may determine in its absolute discretion.

2.3 Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable (including for cash). Part or parts of the Prize will not be substituted for other benefits or items at the request of winners.

2.4 If any element of the Prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond the control of Theatre Royal Sydney, a similar prize of equal value will be awarded in lieu.

2.5 Winners (and any person accompanying a winner in relation to a Prize) are responsible for any:

(a) Expenses not specifically mentioned as being included in the Prize (for example, unless otherwise stated to form part of the Prize, accommodation, travel expenses, food or beverages purchased and all other costs, including travel insurance, are not included in the Prize and are the responsibility of the winner/s and of any person/s accompanying the winner/s).

2.6 The Intrepid Prize element consists of two (2) places on the Intrepid Travel Tasmania Adventure trip and two (2) x return economy flights from the Prize winner’s nearest capital city airport to Hobart.

(a) This Prize does not include additional connecting flights, pre-or post-accommodation, meals, domestic transfers, travel insurance, single supplement payment, activities or local payments/kittys not covered by the itinerary.

(b) Return economy flights will be chosen and booked by Intrepid Travel from the Prize winner's capital city airport into Hobart. Any changes to the flights will incur additional charges at the cost of the winner, including but not limited to: if the winner wishes to fly with an alternative carrier, upgrade to business class or include a stopover. Frequent flyer points will not be earned on the flights.

(c The Prize must be fully booked/redeemed three months prior to travel commencing. Travel must have commenced by 28th of March 2026. Standard travel blackout periods apply (15 Dec 2025-14 Jan 2026)

(d) A minimum of four (4) customers must be confirmed on the Intrepid Travel trip for the Prize winner booking to be confirmed on their requested date.

(e) This Prize is provided on a twin share basis and is subject to availability and confirmation by Intrepid Travel at time of booking.

(f) Any request to change to a different Intrepid Travel trip is at the discretion of Intrepid Travel and is not guaranteed.

(g) If the chosen departure does not operate for any reason or the trip is discontinued, Intrepid Travel will offer an equivalent Intrepid small group adventure trip of same value to the Prize winner. This excludes Polar, Short Break Adventures, Urban Adventures, Private Groups (Tailor Made), Expeditions or Festival trips.

(h) The Prize, or any unused portion of the Prize, is not exchangeable or transferrable, cannot be extended and cannot be taken as cash if the Prize is not fulfilled.

(i) Once booked, any changes made to the Prize winner booking may incur a cancellation fee or amendment fee, at the cost of the winner.

(j) Total Prize value is approximately AUD $4,700. Prize value is based on full price, high season 2025/2026 trip departures and return economy airfares including all airline taxes and government charges, departing from closest capital city airports inbound to Hobart in AUD.

(k) The prize value may fluctuate based on available airfares at time of booking and trip availability.

(l) If the Prize winner cannot claim the Prize bound by these terms and conditions, the Prize winner must forfeit the full prize.

(m) The winner must book the Intrepid prize directly with Intrepid at [email protected] and quote the winning the promo code on the travel voucher.

(n) Except as set out expressly above, Intrepid Travel’s Booking Conditions apply.

3. Entry into the Competition

3.1 A valid entry is made by completing the competition form on theatreroyalsydney.com/mothers-day-escape during the competition period.

3.2 Subject to clauses 3.3 and 3.4, the Competition is only open to individuals who are NSW residents.

3.3 Notwithstanding clause 3.2, the Competition is not open to:

(a) persons under the age of 18

(b) any person living outside of NSW

(c) employees of Theatre Royal Sydney and any subsidiary, parent company, agent or affiliate of Theatre Royal Sydney, including a company or organisation that has provided a Prize for a competition, (collectively, “Affiliates”); or

(d) members of the immediate families of employees of Theatre Royal Sydney and Affiliates.

3.4 Notwithstanding anything in clauses 3.2 or 3.3, the Competition is not open to anyone under the age of 18 if the Prize is or includes:

(a) any alcoholic beverage or product;

(b) any service or product that by law is unavailable to persons aged under 18; or

(c) an Event where the Event is not open to a person under the age of 18.

4. How To Enter

4.1 A valid entry is made by completing the form at www.theatreroyalsydney.com/mothers-day-escape during the competition period. Entrants will be required to complete a form on theatreroyalsydney.com requesting a response to "Where you would like to go for your next Australian getaway?" and providing an Email Address, First Name, Last Name, and Post Code. Entrants will also be required to confirm they accept the Terms & Conditions and accept the Intrepid Travel Privacy Policy and to receive Intrepid Travel's marketing communications.

4.2 Only one entry per email will be counted as a valid entry.

4.3 The following entries will be invalid:

(a) entries received outside the Competition Period;

(b) entries that duplicate or nearly duplicate another entry that the entrant has submitted; incomplete entries; and

(c) entries that Theatre Royal Sydney, in its sole discretion, determines fraudulent (including entries that misrepresent the eligibility of the entrant);

4.4 Theatre Royal Sydney may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any entry that in its view is (or is potentially) objectionable, including (without limitation) any entry that:

(a) is not reasonably comprehensible;

(b) is obscene, defamatory, insulting, discriminatory and/or inflammatory;

(c) infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party;

(d) constitutes an invasion of privacy; and/or

(e) is generally damaging to the goodwill and/or reputation of Theatre Royal Sydney and/or any sponsor of the Competition or Prize and/or of any Affiliate.

5. Winner/s

5.1 The winner will be selected at random from valid and eligible entries received.

5.2 All decisions of Theatre Royal Sydney and/or the competition judges (including in relation to the selection of a winner or winners) are final and binding on entrants in all respects, and no correspondence will be entered into.

5.3 The winner will be contacted by Theatre Royal Sydney via email by Tuesday 29 April 2025 and will have until Thursday 1 May 2025 to claim their prize. Once confirmed, the winner will be announced the winner will be announced via social media. Participants or winners will not be contacted via social media accounts and will never be asked to provide confidential information over social media.

5.4 Publication of the names of winners by Theatre Royal Sydney is not determinative and the Prize will only be awarded subject to confirmation by Theatre Royal Sydney that a winner has complied with these Terms.

5.5 A Prize may be forfeited (with no substitute offered) and an alternative winner or winners selected in accordance with the winner selection procedure set out above if a winner:

(a) does not successfully respond to notification of having won a Prize by 1 May 2025

(b) does not accept an element of the Prize as arranged with Theatre Royal Sydney;

(c) cannot be located;

(d) does not or cannot provide Theatre Royal Sydney with proof of identity and/or residence if requested by Theatre Royal Sydney to do so; or

(e) does not comply with any other Term of the competition.

5.6 Theatre Royal Sydney reserves the right to withhold a Prize from any entrant who Theatre Royal Sydney, in its absolute discretion, determines:

(a) has not met any of the criteria set out in these Terms;

(b) is not in a mental or physical condition to safely use the Prize or attend an Event; and/or

(c) has engaged in any behaviour that jeopardises the fair and proper conduct of the Competition.

5.7 The prize is only to be redeemed with travel occurringby 28th of March 2026

5.8 Blackout periods may apply at participating businesses. Cancellation and operating policies of the individual participating businesses apply.

5.9 Theatre Royal Sydney reserves the right, in its absolute discretion but subject to relevant State and/or Territory law, to cancel the Competition and not award any Prize if Theatre Royal Sydney is unable to proceed with the Competition (including any judging and/or draw) as a result of circumstances beyond its control including, without limitation, vandalism, hacking, computer virus or bugs, server breakdown, acts of terrorism, acts of God, pandemic, civil unrest, strikes and power failures.

6. Warranties, limitations, releases and consents

6.1 By entering, you grant us and our Affiliates an irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and transferable licence to publish your entry and name and the right to sub-license use of your entry and name to our promotion partners (as applicable) for other uses, including broadcast.

6.2 Theatre Royal Sydney, any Affiliate and any operator of any social media platform through which the Competition is conducted will not be responsible for:

(a) any Prize lost, damaged or stolen in transit once it has left the possession of Theatre Royal Sydney and/or an Affiliate; or 

b) any failure or inability on the part of a winner to attend an Event.

6.3 Winners are responsible for insuring against their own losses for loss, damage or theft during transit and/or for their inability to attend an Event.

6.4 Entrants release Theatre Royal Sydney, Affiliates and any social media platform through which the Competition is conducted (including all directors, officers, employees, attorneys, agents and representatives) from, and hold harmless for, any damage, injury, death, loss, claim, action, demand or other liability that may arise from:

(a) the Entrant’s acceptance and/or use of a Prize (including any misuse or malfunction); and/or

(b) the Entrant’s participation in this Competition and/or attendance at an Event.

6.5 Winning entrants and/or persons accompanying a winning entrant to an Event may be required by Theatre Royal Sydney and/or an Affiliate and/or the operator of any social media platform through which the Competition is conducted to sign a written release covering the types of matter set out in clause

6.6. The form of such a release may be determined, in their absolute discretion, by Theatre Royal Sydney and/or an Affiliate.

6.7 The Entrant accepts and grants their provided email address to be used for marketing purposes by Theatre Royal Sydney and/or an Affiliate (Intrepid Travel) of the "2025 Mother's Day Escape" promotion.

7. Collection and use of your personal information 

7.1 As part of the process of running the Competition and awarding and delivering a Prize, Theatre Royal Sydney may collect personal information of entrants, including name, email address, residential address, contact phone number/s, date of birth and gender (“Personal Information”).

7.2 Adding the details of the Participant to the database of a disclosed third party (specified below). The disclosed third party may use your Personal Information for marketing and promotional purposes. One of our Privacy Officers will contact you within a reasonable time frame after receiving your enquiry or request to verify who you are in order to locate any accounts or bookings you may have with us or ask any follow up questions to better understand your enquiry.

7.3 Except as otherwise provided under clause 6, any Personal Information of entrants will be used by Theatre Royal Sydney:

(a) for the purpose of conducting and promoting the Competition (including verifying eligibility, delivering a Prize and complying with any applicable Commonwealth, State or Territory law); but otherwise

7.4 Any request to access, update and/or correct Personal Information should be directed to Theatre Royal Sydney by email here.

8. General

8.1 Entrants agree:

(a) to comply with all reasonable conditions of use of a Prize and any reasonable requirements of any person or organisation that supplies a Prize;

(b) to conform to all applicable Australian laws and regulations; and

(c) to conform to any relevant website terms and conditions (including any terms and conditions relating to the use of social media where a competition is run via a social media platform).

8.2 A failure by Theatre Royal Sydney to enforce, or a waiver by Theatre Royal Sydney of, any one or all of these Terms will not give rise to any claim or right of action by any person or entrant.

8.3 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the entrants and Theatre Royal Sydney and supersede and extinguish any previous agreements, arrangements and understandings between them, whether written or oral, relating to the competition or any other subject matter set out in these Terms.

8.4 These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New South Wales.
